Then, a new track will come into her brain. I'll sit out on my front porch and play my guitar and the words are just a matter of time and typically it's finished in just thirty minutes. Niykee has found that her experiences from her past provide an unending source of unexpected motivation. Even when I'm not writing in a literal way about what has been a part of my life, all the pain of my childhood and loss of my sister up getting pushed into my lyrics, she says. This influences my music and creates a deeper significance behind everything that is an important thing for me. I want to be able to say that I'll be able to hear any of my music 20 years from now and still be proud of what I wrote.
