LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is known as King James and is considered to be among the greatest basketball players of all time. James has won four NBA championships, four NBA MVP awards Four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James is the player with the most points in the playoffs with the second-highest number of points in his career and is seventh in ever assists. This is a record for the NBA for him to be an NBA All-Star for 18 years. He was the third player to play in the NBA Finals. Eight of these were consecutive between 2011 through the year 2018. James was selected to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team for 2021. James became the first NBA player with 10,000 points, 10 rebounds and an assist in 2022. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High School in his home town of Akron Ohio and was heavily in the news media as a potential NBA star. As a prep to pro it was it was the Cleveland Cavaliers chose him as the number one overall pick during the NBA draft in 2003. He was named the 2004 NBA Rookie of Year the player quickly became one of the league's premier players by winning his NBA MVP award in 2010 and 2009. James signed with the Miami Heat in 2010 when the team became a free agent after not achieving an NBA Championship in Cleveland. The announcement was made on The Decision.
