That same year she debuted her first album Know It All, the song Scars to Your Beautiful ranked in the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It also was one of the five original songs. The track is special due to the Rap-Up interview that she did with people who listened to her music could connect to her experiences of finding love for themselves, and rethinking their beliefs about her. Cara is known for including messages on emotional health, kindness, and self-love into her music. The music that she has written stems from her personal struggles to conquer mental health issues and insomnia. Reuters reported that she called her album "half tumultuous, half perfected". She was born on July 11, 1996 to parents with Italian descent. Her parents gave her a guitar when she was 10 and this led to her passion for music.
