Alessia Cara

In the year 2015, at age 19, she published her first debut single Here. It was a huge hit and received praise from the public and from critics. It reached number 19 in both Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the track as one of the year's most memorable Songs. It was the same time when she dropped Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful, one of her five original songs featured in the Billboard Charts which include Billboard Hot 100 for Canada as well as Billboard 200 for Canadian Albums Charts. The track in question was unique due to her interview with Rap-Up many listeners were inspired by her story of self-doubt, and her journey to learn how to be a better person. Cara is famous for including the themes of mental health and compassion and self-love in her music. Her music is an expression of her own personal struggles with insomnia and mental health. In an Reuters interview she describes her album as half tumultuous and half complete. Her growth was aided through therapy. She advises other people when they need to ask for assistance. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto, Canada. She was born July 11, 1996 to parents with Italian origins. Her parents gave her a guitar when she was 10 and this led to her passion for music. At the age of 13, she started covering songs she loved on YouTube to demonstrate to her fans that she was a talented artist and had the courage to go after a career as a musician. Indeed one of the covers Sweater Weather ended up getting noticed by a label known as EP Entertainment which allowed her to create and write the songs.
